Product hierarchy

A description of all product tax codes that Taxwire supports.

If you don’t see a category that fits:

• Bundle: you can provide the Taxwire API several codes that could apply, and Taxwire will dynamically calculate tax for the local rules at the time of sale.
• Go broad: generally, the more high-level categories are taxed more than narrower categories. Hence it is generally safer to opt for a more general category if no specific ones fit.

TANGIBLE_PERSONAL_PROPERTY	Physical goods like clothing, furniture, electronics, books, and household appliances.
DIGITAL_PROPERTY	Any digital good that is purchased and owned by the buyer, such as eBooks, music files, or downloadable software.
DIGITAL_PROPERTY.DIGITAL_AUDIO	MP3 music files, audiobooks, digital sound effects, and podcast downloads.
DIGITAL_PROPERTY.DIGITAL_GAMES	Downloadable video games for PC, console, or mobile (e.g., a Steam game purchase).
DIGITAL_PROPERTY.DIGITAL_IMAGES	Stock photos, vector illustrations, 3D models, and digital art downloads.
DIGITAL_PROPERTY.DIGITAL_PUBLICATIONS	eBooks, online magazine subscriptions, paywalled news articles.
